About

We started with a broken harness.

The third one, in fact, in the same season — the clip that lets go mid-walk when a dog decides that something across the road is worth investigating. Everything on sale here fell into one of two piles. Things that came apart within a season, or things that cost what an imported brand charges for shipping alone.

So we began sourcing directly. Small orders, one supplier at a time, and one rule: nothing goes on the site until it has survived a month of real walks.

Then the beds

The beds came later, and for a plainer reason. A dog sleeps around eighteen hours a day, and it does most of it in the middle of your living room. Whatever it sleeps on is furniture, whether or not anybody designed it that way.

Most pet beds are designed as though they will be kept in a garage — moulded plastic, shredded filler, a cover that pills in a month and never quite fits again after the first wash. Ours are built the way furniture is built. Kiln-dried frames. Orthopaedic foam rather than shredded fill. Upholstery from the same rolls used on chairs that people sit on. A waterproof lining under the cover, because dogs are dogs.

Made after you order

Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for you. Every bed is cut and built once you have chosen its size and its fabric, which is why it takes two to three weeks rather than two days. Thirty-nine fabrics, three sizes, and a workshop that will build something entirely from scratch if what you want is not in the range.

It is a slower way to run a shop. It also means we are never trying to clear stock, never discounting to shift a colour that did not sell, and never sending you something that has been sitting in a box since March.

Where we are

Bengaluru. We are on the second floor at 379, 100 Feet Road in Indiranagar, above Hamleys. The beds are made here and everything ships from here, across India.

If you are deciding

Order a fabric swatch box before you commit to a bed. Eight swatches, ₹250, and the ₹250 comes back to you as credit against the bed. Cloth is impossible to judge on a screen, and we would rather you found that out now than after three weeks of upholstery work.
