Care & warranty
Washing the cover
Every cover unzips completely. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, no bleach, and line dry in shade — direct sun will fade upholstery over time, particularly the deeper colours. Do not tumble dry; the backing on upholstery fabric does not enjoy it.
Put the cover back on while it is very slightly damp if it feels tight. It relaxes as it finishes drying.
By fabric
- Corduroy. Brush along the wale, not across it. Wash inside out to protect the ribs.
- Bouclé. Never pull a loop that has snagged — cut it flush with scissors. Pulling unravels the weave.
- Sherpa and plush. Wash alone. It sheds on a first wash, which is normal and stops.
- Suede and brushed cotton. Spot clean where you can. A soft brush lifts the nap back after washing.
The lining and the foam
The waterproof inner lining wipes clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. It is not machine washable. The orthopaedic foam inside should not get wet — if an accident soaks through, stand the foam on its edge somewhere airy and let it dry fully before putting the cover back on.
The frame
A damp cloth, and nothing else. No polish, no oil, no wood cleaner — the timber is finished with a pet-safe sealant and household polishes can strip it.
Warranty
We guarantee the frame and the foam for two years from delivery.
If a joint fails, a plinth cracks, or the foam collapses and stops supporting your dog within that period, we repair it or replace the bed. You pay nothing, including the freight.
What is covered: frame joints and structure, foam collapse under normal use, zips and seams failing, and the waterproof lining failing while intact.
What is not: chewing, scratching and digging — a dog dismantling its own bed is a dog, not a defect — fading from direct sunlight, and damage from washing outside the instructions above.
Covers are not under warranty against wear, but replacement covers can be ordered in any of our fabrics at any time, which is the main reason the covers come off in the first place.
